Beaches Of Havelock Island, Neil Island, And Port Blair

There is nothing like a day spent on the beach watching the sunset away from the city hustle. The Andaman Islands have some of the most beautiful and pristine beaches in India for you to experience just that. Often referred to as the beach capital of the country, all the beaches here are complemented with white sands, mangroves, and dense tropical forests. While most of the beaches are tourist hotspots, there are also a few where you have the luxury of some privacy.

Havelock Island

Havelock Island is well known for attracting honeymooners and vacationers alike. There are some gorgeous beaches on this island that you must visit. Radhanagar Beach or beach no 7 has taken the crown of being the best beach in India and the 7th best in the world according to Time Magazine. It is famous for water activities like snorkeling, game fishing, swimming, and scuba diving. Then there is Elephant Beach, which is best known for its coral reefs, snorkeling, and extravagant marine biodiversity. You can either take 30 mins to walk through the forest or take a boat ride to reach this beach. Beach no 5 or Vijayanagar Beach is the ideal place for people who love swimming and surfing as the water is not too deep. One of the most relaxing beaches on this island is the KalaPathar Beach. You can enjoy a day of sunbathing in hammocks or catching up on some reading while enjoying the serenity this place has to offer.

Neil Island

Neil Island in the Andamans is where you will get to enjoy some alone time at some of their most alluring beaches away from other vacationers. First, on the list is Laxmanpur Beach located in Laxmanpur Village. The charm of this beach is its shallow waters and very few tourists. It is great for swimming and snorkeling. Then we have the Sitapur Beach, which is great for its photogenic karst topography. It is quite a popular beach for being relatively unblemished to date. For a picturesque view of the clear sea, you must visit Bharatpur Beach. This beach is famous for flamboyant coral reefs, and outlandish marine life, which can be experienced from glass-bottom boats.

Port Blair

Port Blair is not just the capital of the Andaman Islands, but also home to very beautiful beaches. Such as the Corbyn’s Cove, which is one of the most exotic and unspoiled beaches on the island. It is perfect for people who love indulging in various water activities because it offers a wide range of them like scuba diving, swimming, surfing, boating, and Sea karting. There is also Wandoor Beach in Port Blair which is also known as the coral beach. The Mahatma Gandhi National Marine Park is located here, where you can catch sight of magnificent corals and other marine life. For photographers and nature lovers, this place is a haven.
